Out Now! Special Issue of 'Sustainability' on Water Footprints

This month, Sustainability has published a Special Issue on 'Water Footprints and Sustainable Water Allocation’. The issue, edited by Prof. Dr. Arjen Y. Hoekstra of the University of Twente with Dr. Ashok K. Chapagain and Dr. Guoping Zhang of Water Footprint Network, features 17 papers that advance the field of Water Footprint Assessment.

The papers address a diverse range of topics including an evaluation of water footprints and sustainable water utilization in Beijing, the water footprint of data centres, a paper based on a case study of the Barilla Company and a study of the water footprint of food aid.

Sustainability is an international, cross-disciplinary, scholarly and open access journal of environmental, cultural, economic, and social sustainability of human beings. It provides an advanced forum for studies related to sustainability and sustainable development, and is published monthly online by MDPI.
